Live

Opening the night was the band Live, who brought their own brand of '90s rock to the stage. Despite some initial sound issues, they quickly found their groove, delivering powerful renditions of hits like “Lightning Crashes” and “I Alone.” Ed Kowalczyk’s vocals were as strong as ever, and the band’s tight performance was a testament to their enduring appeal.

However, there were moments where the energy dipped slightly, but they managed to recover and keep the audience engaged. Overall, it was a night that celebrated the enduring legacy of '90s rock, leaving fans with memories to cherish.

Stone Temple Pilots

The Stone Temple Pilots delivered an electrifying performance at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Texas on August 23, 2024. The band, fronted by Jeff Gutt, kicked off the night with “Meatplow,” setting the tone for an evening filled with nostalgia and high-energy rock.

The setlist was a perfect blend of their greatest hits, including “Vasoline,” “Interstate Love Song,” and “Plush,” which had the crowd singing along passionately. Gutt’s vocal prowess and stage presence were reminiscent of the late Scott Weiland, bringing a sense of authenticity to the performance.

The DeLeo brothers, Dean and Robert, along with Eric Kretz, showcased their exceptional musicianship, with Dean’s guitar solos and Robert’s bass lines standing out particularly in tracks like “Silvergun Superman” and “Big Empty.” The band’s chemistry was palpable, making for a seamless and engaging show that left fans yearning for more.
