Breaking Benjamin x Staind 2024 Tour has made it’s way to The Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Tx last Tuesday. The incredible co-headliners featuring Daughtry and Lakeview promised to deliver a great night of hard rock. The group has been touring since September and has amassed positive reviews.

Lakeview sets the tone right as they start the night with favorites such as “Money Where Your Mouth Is”, “Home Team”, and “Son of A”. Lakeview is a duo composed of Jesse Denaro and Luke Healy based out of Nashville, TN. Their music is country with metal-core distilled into the roots and it’s hard not to like what you hear when you see feel the energy of their performance.

Daughtry performs next and The American Idol finalist immediately impresses the audience with his dynamic showmanship and powerful vocals. He performs old hits like “It’s Not Over” and “Home” while playing songs from his newly released EP “Shock to the System (Part One)”  like “Artificial” and “The Reckoning”.

Staind follows and shows exactly why they coheadline the show. The band was formed 1995 and originates from Springfield, MA. Aaron Lewis’ voice remains classic and instantly recognizable as they perform  all their hits including “Lowest in Me”, “Outside”, and “So Far Away”. Fans sang along to the post-grunge, alternative metal sounds that Staind is well known for.

The crowd goes wild as soon as they hear the riffs from “Failure” playing. Breaking Benjamin has been a favorite from the genre since 1999. Benjamin Burnley formed the band with former drummer Jeremy Hummel in Wilkes-Barre, PA. They have released 6 studio albums since and has acquired new members including Jasen Rauch (lead guitar), Keith Wallen (rhythm guitar,  vocals), Aaron Bruch (bass, vocals), and Shaun Foist (drums) with Benjamin carrying on the torch to keep Breaking Benjamin’s music going. “I Will Not Bow”,  “Blow Me Away”, “So Cold”, and “Breath” and so many other favorites were played all through the night leaving no doubt as to why Breaking Benjamin is a fan favorite.

These bands have been a staple to my playlist for as long as I can remember. “The Diary of Jane” and “Outside” are two songs that left a huge impact on me growing up. As a concert photographer, you do it for the love of music and photography but being able to shoot bands you follow makes the whole gig worthwhile. Breaking Benjamin x Staind did not disappoint. The Tour ends in Austin, Tx October 26, 2024. I highly recommend grabbing a ticket and watching if you can.
