Highly Suspect had a very successful 2024 with the release of their 5th album As Above, So Below. The band originating from Cape Cod, MA is immediately following that up with the album’s release tour that kicked off January 17. Making their way to Dallas, Tx for only the second day of the tour while announcing the opening acts barely a few weeks ago, there’s been an aura of excitement and mystery coming into the show as fans start fill out The Factory in anticipation for the show to begin.

Family Dinner kicks us off and immediately brings the energy. The band from Long Island, Ny definitely captures your attention instantly. Their music is alluring and they perform with immense passion that it’s hard not to become an instant fan. Frontwoman Natalie O’Keeffe does well engaging with the early ongoers. I have never heard of the band prior but I immediately looked them up and added them to my rotation. They are exciting, refreshing, and fun to watch.

James and The Cold Gun follows and they prove that Rock and Roll is definitely not dead. The band from Cardiff, Wales brings back the nostalgia of powerful rock and roll vibes while reinventing the genre for their own unique blend and sound. Frontman James Joseph reiterates constantly throughout their set that their main job is to hype everyone up for the main act but I think they do a really good job of expanding their fan base with their incredible performance. They were another pleasant surprise.

Both opening acts were incredible performances that undoubtedly did not miss in creating new fans and followers but it was time for the main event. Highly Suspect has been around in the game since 2009. “My Name Is Human” is a cult classic that was nominated for best rock song at the 59th Grammy Awards. Fans rocking MCID shows the success the band has with previous albums. “Mexico, “The Blue-Eyed Devil”, and “Run For Your Death” were a few songs from their most recent that they played but they did not fail to add their top hits like “Lydia”, “Pink Lullabye”, and of course “My Name Is Human” to send the fan-filled venue screaming and not leaving wanting. This was an incredible show to start 2025 with.

The tour continues until February so there is plenty of time to catch a show near you. The whole line-up will deliver an entertaining night for spectators. Click HERE to follow the tour and for more information on Highly Suspect.
