Mudvayne is celebrating their first and highly successful album L.D. 50‘s 25th anniversary with a killer tour featuring Static-X and Vended. South Side Ballroom in Dallas, Tx played host to the iconic math metal band last October 11,2025. All bands in this tour are known for their theatrics and intense performances. The venue is just enough in size to feel really intimate and allow fans to fully immerse in the experience. The Dallas crowd was more than ready for a night of heavy riffs, jumping, and screaming.

Vended is a nu-metal band from Des-Miones, Iowa formed in 2018. Frontman Griffin Taylor is the son of legendary vocals Corey Taylor which is why there is semblance and hints of Slipknot in Vended’s music. They ramped the energy up quickly when they came on stage. Thunderous, guns blazing, and in your face is how Vended opened the night. And they were so good at it.

Static-X is an industrial metal band from Los Angeles, CA formed in 1994 by former frontman Wayne Static. His legacy is being kept alive by the current line up and current frontman Xer0 who is a sight to see. The theatrics on stage, visuals, and #EvilDisco vibes is an incredible experience that had fans dancing and singing along non-stop. They performed all the bands greatest hits and I truly believe Wayne would feel no greater tribute than to see how his music shook the roof off the venue that night.

L.D. 50 was released August 22, 2000 as Mudvayne‘s debut studio album. It was a highly positive album that topped charts and paved the way for the band’s current success. “Death Blooms”, “Dig”, and “Severed” continue to be some of the band’s most played songs. They really know how to captivate an audience. Chad does an awesome job of performing and connecting with fans during interludes to really add intimacy to the show. It was a truly unforgettable experience and they continue to cement themselves as legends in the genre. There’s no question why I saw plenty of fans dressed up in full make-up and costume as they made their way in. Dallas loves Mudvayne. The world loves Mudvayne. And this album will always remind us why we do.
