The Silence Follows Tour made landfall at The House of Blues in Dallas, Tx last April 17, 2026. With Erra and Currents co-headlining, it was quite a spectacular metalcore storm. The venue was so packed with fans that it was hard to maneuver around. The singing, dancing, crowd surfing, and circle pits did not stop from the first breakdown until the show ended. Caskets and Aviana supporting the tour made it a must-watch for me and it did not disappoint.
Aviana is a metalcore band from Gothenburg, Sweden. They have been active since 2016 and has produced 4 studio albums including Void which was released last year. They opened the night guns blazing. Their futuristic aesthetic, violent riffs, and intense stage presence sets the tone for the rest of the show.
Caskets is an alternative metal band from Leeds, UK. The were formed 2018 and have 3 studio albums including The Only Heaven You’ll Know released last year. I’ve been a fan of their music for awhile now but haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them live. They blew me away with their setlist of favorites from all three albums. I wasn’t the only one singing along to most of their performance.
Currents is a metalcore band from Newton, Connecticut formed 2011. They have 3 studio albums and 4 EPs including their newly released All That Follows under their wing. I was looking forward to their performance the most. Despite everything the band has gone through, I’ve been a fan of the music they have produced so far and was very much pleased with their EP release last year. Their setlist was definitely for the fans. They perform with such ferocious energy that it’s hard not to get lost in their breakdowns and vocals. As a fan, I am hoping for a full studio album and new music soon though but this performance satiated me for now.
Erra is a metalcore band from Birmingham, Al that has been around since 2009. They have produced 7 studio albums including Silence Outlives the Earth released last year. They needed no introduction. They took to the stage and commanded the room. Endless crowd surfing and circle pits amassed song after song. They showed why they have had such a loyal following since their inception. A truly outstanding performance that ended the night without leaving fans wanting.
