Four Year Strong The Analysis Paralysis Tour brought the house down at The Studio at The Factory in Dallas, Tx last November 20, 2024. A fan-packed venue experienced a great live performance from the pop-punk band formed in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Tour also features Free Throw, One Step Closer, and Death Lens. The show is a massive hit and has been one of the best live shows I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing.
Death Lens opens the night with their energetic performance that is highly entertaining. The band formed 2012 in Los Angeles, CA and recently released their latest album Cold World. They are a young band that is maturing into their own style and music. Performing songs like “Cold World, Disturb The Peace”, and “Bruised” with powerful lyrics and high-tempo rhythms that has made a fan out of me.
One Step Closer follows and definitely takes the energy up a notch. They have been active since 2016 and has received praises all around including Stereogum’s “Bands to Watch”. They have released two studio albums including their most recent, All You Embrace. They performed songs from both albums to help amp the crowd for the next two acts including “I Feel So”, “The Reach”, and “Color You”. Watching them live made me understand easily why they are catching so much attention.
Free Throw been tearing it up since 2012 since they formed in Nashville, TN. They have created 5 successful full length albums since then with Lessons That We Swear To Keep released in 2023. All the songs they played were hits from all albums including “You Don’t Say That”, “Tongue Tied”, and “Randy, I Am The Liquor”. They are a very fun band to watch live with vocals Cory Castro relating to the crowd and hyping them well enough to get the surfers going. By the end of the set, The Studio and fans were more than ready for what was to follow.
Four Year Strong has been a staple on my playlist since I heard Rise Or Die Trying back in 2007. I’ve never had the opportunity to watch them live but have religiously followed their music through the years. Since their inception in 2001, they have composed 8 beautiful studio albums including Analysis Paralysis released August 2024. I fully expected the entire act to promote the album and lost it when they played hits from previous ones including “Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die” and “Bada Bing! Wit’ a Pipe!”. Of course they played songs from their recent release including “Aftermath/Afterthought”, “Uncooked”, and “Paranoia”. It was worth all this time to finally see them because they are one of the best live performers out there and they blew the entire venue away!
The Analysis Paralysis Tour has a few more shows before they close out on December 1st, 2024 in New Jersey. Click HERE to catch one of the remaining shows if you can. You will not regret it. It’s a great show overall and Four Year Strong will for sure blow you away!
