The multi award-winning and Grammy nominated artist Khalid and the It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour turned up and showed out last Wednesday night at  The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Tx. The Texas native born in El Paso put on a phenomenal show. I was really sad Lauv had to pull out but I completely understand his reasons and Music Resonance wishes him the best.

Despite this setback, the tour continued to put on quite the show bringing in local Dj, Brandon Blue, and Netflix’s Building The Band rising stars, Soulidified. They kicked off the party for early on-goers playing classic hip-hop and r&b hits as the amphitheater was filling in for the talented headliner.

Brandon Blue:

Soulidified:

There is something insanely soothing and captivating about Khalid’s voice. The second he steps out until the very last song, he captivates his audience. The setlist is well put together with hits from all his albums. He was a pleasure to photograph with dancers and beautiful stage lights that complemented every facet of his performance. It was visually stunning coupled with his immensely pleasing vocals. There isn’t enough to be said about this experience. I’m honored to have captured it as best as I could have and to be present with a generational voice like Khalid’s is something I will not forget soon.
